About
From East Berlin's plattenbau to the boardroom and starting again at 49.
I grew up in an East Berlin social housing complex. When the Berlin Wall came down, the world I knew disappeared overnight. I had to learn a completely new system of operating from scratch, with no roadmap and no one to guide me. I rebuilt myself from the inside out, from radical identity rupture and survival to thriving. At the age of 44, I reached executive board level at one of the largest US banks worldwide, leading capital markets and digital assets. At the end of 2025, I left my corporate career to start my entrepreneurial journey and founded Alic.ai. Alic stands for the four AI survival traits every leader now needs: Adapt. Learn. Ideate.
